How to get in Lausanne?
By train: Lausanne is 50 minutes away from Geneva Airport, 2h40 from Zurich Airport, and has many connections with European cities. For train schedules check out the Federal Railways site.
Parking
Unless you've got a parking place with your hôtel, two conveniently placed (but expensive) parking are:
- Parking de Montbenon
- Parking du Centre
Hotels
Here's a selection of hotels with reasonable prices. It is low season in Lausanne, so you should not hesitate to call for a quote.
You can find them from this link but this stupid web site does not permit direct links to the hotels (...)
Downtown, close to everything, included the pow wow venue:
- Voyageurs
- Boulevard
- Elite
- City
- Crystal
- Regina
- Agora
- Marché
- Old Inn
- Ada-logements
Cheaper, youth hostel like:
- Jeunotel, outside of town (30-40 min walk from downtown, 10 min bus ride)
- Not found from the above URL:
Le Chalet, av. d' Ouchy 49, +41 21 616 5206, closer to the lake (15-20 min walk from downtown)
Hotline
Starting Friday, February 28th, we can be reached at +41 21 351 53 08 if help or directions are needed.
