Uniboard , an electronic blackboard is in use in the giant rooms of the new Collège propédeutique of the University of Lausanne. Made on Mac OS X, this software is noted for its great simplicity. In addition to the traditional functions of a blackboard, Uniboard provides automatic archiving of sessions, PDF exports of professors’ notes, and is interfaced with the Crestron room control system (light, sound, projectors…).

A web interface allows users to prepare their lessons in advance and remotely, and to find them ready to be given in the classroom when the time comes.

Uniboard is in use in several universities and other schools, has been ported to Windows, and is now a product sold by Mnemis. We still actively contribute to it’s development.
